We first launched Basic SAW_bot for Horses in January 2015 and
SAW_Deluxe is steroid version of original SAW
with lot of powerful features on May 2016 and
SAW New Gen in May 2023
Hi,
Thanks for your interest in SAW New Gen bot.
Original SAW_Bot was first of its kind in the horse racing betting market across the world when we first launched it.
In SAW New Gen, you can bet on all the worldwide horse racing which is available on Betfair same as the old version.
Let me explain the Stop AT A WINNER concept first – We first set a profit target for the day along with the stop loss.
Then start betting from the first race (not necessarily but preferred option is always start from first race) of the day with the stake adjusted (as per odds available) to have profit target achieved on that race.
If the bet is lost, the stake in the next race is increased in order to cover the previous loss and if the bet is won, then the cycle is closed for the day.
Also, in general, StopataWinner Strategy is deployed only on favorite horse as we know from past data; favorites win approx. 34% of the races.
Typically, you would have seen SAW concept only for the back side but in SAW New Gen, we could easily execute the SAW on the lay side as well.
There are lots of new great features you will see in SAW New Gen once you read the complete manual. Let me explain you first on the features of the SAW New Gen .Once you have installed the SAW New Gen, you need to login into the bot using your Betfair account.
Please enter your Betfair username and password and it will let you login into the bot. Please remember, here, we are not storing any data. All your credentials are with Betfair only.
Please remember that it takes atleast 40-50 seconds to open the bot as markets are being loaded when the bot opens first time.
Once the bot is logged into the betfair successfully, you will get the following pop up
You need to click OK. This is mandatory warning sign as per guidance from Betfair policy. If you have successfully logged in, then you will see the following screen – this is the main screen of the bot.
Please remember that bot will open with last used settings when you open the bot next time. In my case, I have closed it last time with GBR and Australia/NZ ticked and hence it is showing on GBR & AUS/NZ selected again.
Let’s look at each feature of the SAW New Gen bot.
Betfair Help: When you click on betfair help, it will take you standard betfair page which has information about betfair charges, commissions, markets etc. It is mandatory to add this link in every certified betfair bot.
You can access this manual from this link.
You can see your betfair wallet information here.
This box will show latest profit or loss for the each back /lay and Dutch back strategies. You can run upto 3 Back , 2 Lays and 1 Dutch system simultaneously in 1 license.
Stop at a winner concept requires auto staking on the next bet depending on the profit required and hence it is important to have all the next qualified races to be loaded on the bot automatically even if you are away from the bot.
What we have also found from our experience on bot development that almost 50% of our clients run the bot on VPS (Virtual Private Server) and hence it is very important to have auto reload button in the bot, so the feature of auto reloading of qualified races can happen by itself. Keep auto reload checked if you want to keep the bot on 24*7.
You can see re-load buttons for eachback, lay and dutch back markets. If you change any settings while the bot is on, always recommend to press the re-load button, so it will load only the qualified markets.
There is tick box for show market. When you tick on show market, it will bring prices for that race in the middle interface.
I would strongly recommend avoiding show market ticked as it increases the data requirement and hence the API calls. You don’t need to see prices as bot will place correct bets by itself at the background.
You can see course name, date and time for the race at the header.
Total amount of money matched (in currency as per your betfair account.
Time left before the start of the race. It will turn green post the kick off the meeting.
Please remember middle interface price screen is static. We don’t refresh prices automatically in the main screen in order to keep API calls within limit.
But if you double click race again and you will see the latest price info…see how was 14:05 Haydock looking just 8 minutes and 19 seconds into in play. Please remember that the bot will place bets only at the time it has been instructed to bet.
Let’s understand the reloading feature of the bot . You will see 12 tabs inside the above box
Programmed ( markets )
Programmed ( Venue)
Races Back1 ( markets for Back)
Venue Back1
Races Back2 ( markets for Back)
Venue Back2
Races Back3 ( markets for Back)
Venue Back3
Races Lay1 ( markets for Lay)
Venue Lay1
Races Lay2 ( markets for Lay)
Venue Lay2
Races Dutch ( markets for Dutch)
Venue Dutch
This is how any of the venue tab will look like :
As you can see list of race courses in the venue list.
Please remember, selection of countries is part of each back, lay and Dutch tabs. So, you can select anyset of countries for any strategy. Like in pic above, in back 1, only ANZ / GB/Ireland are selected for this strategy.
Point to be noted: when you are have selected the list of countries or if you want to further select the race courses, it is important to press the reload button for that specific tab, so it highlights only the races which are applicable.
Let’s understand the more features. Bot has following more functions: -
Programmed betting
Back 1, Back 2, Back 3
Lay 1, Lay2
Dutch Back
In market to bet, it has two markets
Win Market
Place market
Yes, it has win and place markets available for back, lay and Dutch back functions.
In Selection tab, for Back and Lay functions, you can select any of the first five favorites you want to bet upon:-
Please remember it is only for Back and Lay functions because in Dutch function, you have to dutch the first two or three or four or five horses , hence dutch side interface is bit different.
See how the Dutch back function looks like:
Now, as you can see in Dutch Back function, you can select the horses you want to dutch on by ticking the favorites and decide the price range.
Please remember, all the ticked favorites need to be qualified in the respective price range for Dutch bet to get placed.
If it happens, that one of the favorite horses is not qualified, the Dutch bet will not be placed.
In each function, you need to specify a price range in order for selection to be qualified.
You can select time to bet. It can be pre –play or in- play.I recommend not using In play as prices change too frequently and you may not get the right price which you want to bet on the horse during in play betting.
It is important to know that we can’t bet on every race, as not every worldwide race has sufficient liquidity on betfair and therefore, the prices may not be accurate in those Betfair markets. Hence you need Minimum Amount matched option.
Runners: - Mention the numbers of runners before the off which you want in order for the bet to be qualified.
Profit Delta - This is another great feature. Profit Delta is the amount by which your next back bet stake will be increased once you have the losing bet. For example, if your stop@profit target per match is $1 and you have profit delta as $.5, then if you have first match as a losing bet, then your 2nd profit target will not be $1 but it will be $1.50.
Similarly, if your 2nd bet is also a losing bet, then your 3rd bet profit target will be $2 ( $1+$.5+$.5) and not just $1.00
This is really great feature. It will increase your profit to a greater extent. (Obviously it depends what delta you keep). Anything between 20% to 50% of the stop@profit per Race is a good indicator for profit delta.
Fav Min Price and Fav Max price:Select the price range for 1st fav horse to be in when you want to bet on any 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Fav
Comm % :it is betfair commission, ranges between 3 to 8%, varies per account. You need to input what you have in your account.
Above settings are very important to understand. I have not spoken about the tabs yet, which I will cover later.
Stop@Profit per race is the amount which you want to make from each winning race.
Stop@profit each tab is the amount of profit which you want to make from each tab.
Stop@profit for all tabs is the overall amount of profit which you want to make from the bot overall.
In Saw New Gen, you will also have one of the finest features which will increase the profitability of the bot exponentially. Here you can run (up to 10 cycles) for Stop At A Winner Betting. It has ten tabs as you can see on the screenshot above.
Each tab is independent of any other tab.
Let’s get into any one tab.
I will cover more about the tabs later.
If you remember, we discussed stop@profit above and now, you should understand Stop@ Loss.
Stop@Loss for each tab –is the figure once passed the tab will either stop betting or restart.
Please keep in mind, bot may pass the stop loss value, as it will place a bet, if the actual loss is still below the stop loss, so remember, a $50 stop loss could actually bemuch higher. Once the stop loss has been passed it will either stop or restart the bot (if option is ticked).
Example: If Stop Loss is set at 50, and the tab has a Loss of say 48.00, the bot will still try and recover that 48 as it is under 50, so if the odds are say 2.00 the it will bet around 50 to recover the 48 loss plus the target. Meaning you will be at 98 should the bet lose. That is when the tab would stop trying to recover the loss.
Loss Count : Bot will stop or restart the cycle just based on number of losing bets in a row.
Continue Button
Continue button will ensure that bot should not stop once the profit target is reached (per match or per tab) but it will start the fresh cycle. So, if you want to keep running the bot always, please keep continue button checked.
Here you can see two buttons - Continue with restart and Continue without restart.
Once the stop loss has hit for any tab, then you would have option to continue betting as it is or start a new cycle.
Very important – Please use the option “Continue with restart” checked as otherwise you are exposing yourself to big risk. You may lose your bank if you have a losing run and continue without restart is checked
Please remember when you select either continue with restart or continue without restart button, you will get above pop up which need to click “OK”. This is a mandatory Betfair requirement.
Allow Non – Handicap - if you tick this option, all Non – Handicap races will be loaded. Please remember this option is applicable only for win market. If you are placing bets in place markets, then there is no bifurcation between handicap and non-handicap based on betfair API calls.
All Handicap – if you tick this option, all Handicap races will be loaded. Please remember this option is applicable only for win market. If you are placing bets in place markets, then there is no bifurcation between handicap and non-handicap based on betfair API calls.
Allow Harness – This option is only applicable if you have also ticked Australia as a country option
As you know, Australia has harness meetings as well. If you don’t want to place bets on harness races, please don’t select this Allow harness option.
Another important note: In Australia, for win market, you can easily segregate harness meetings by not selecting allow harness optionbut in place market, there is no segregation between Harness and horse racing.
So, we have put a solution for this. If Australian client selects place market for Australian racing and wants to ignore harness meetings, then please not tick allow harness option and the following harness courses will be auto deselected.
The above are the main harness courses , it will atleast keep 80% of harness main meetings out from betting when you are placing bets in place markets in Australia and allow harness option is not ticked.
Keep in Play: - For some reason, if the bet is not matched before the start of the race, then it will get cancelled but in the same situation if you have kept “Keep In play” ticked and betfair has in play betting allowed for that race, then bet will be kept during in play betting and will try to get matched.
Start button: - Once the settings are set, press the start button in order to start the bot.
Stop button:-press the stop button to stop the bot.
Log out: -press the log out button and you will out from the betfair.
Clear button: This is very special feature in the bot. When you start betting next day, the bot will start from the same cycle where you left it last day unless you use a clear button and start fresh day. If you want to continue the same cycle, don’t use the clear button and just press the start button and let it run every day. There are respective Clear buttons for each tab. (Back and Lay and Dutch back sides) and overall clear button on the main settings for each side (Back and Lay and Dutch back).
We have covered all settings for the back side. Let’s switch to lay side.
As you can see, Lay function side also has the same settings as we have on the back function side. You can decide the market to bet (win or place) and accordingly decide on the selection – first to fifth favorites. Functionality of Continue, Clear, Continue with restart, Continue without restart are also exactly the same. Let’s come to programmed bets section.
Selection- Select the horse you want to bet or you can select any favorite from the drop down.
In above example, you can see all horses along with the favorite options. In this race, we had 8 runners and hence all favorite options ( till 8th ) are applicable, and user can select any one of them.
Min price and Max price is the price range which user can select for the dog to be qualified for betting.
Select Pre-Play and 5/10/15 seconds in Time to bet settings. So, all races to be checked for qualification starting N seconds ( based on user input) before the official start of the match.
Minimum amount matched: Amount of minimum money should be matched in the race for bot to make a qualified selection. In order to avoid low liquidity races, atleast keep $2000 or more as per your equalivant currency.
Runners – Min and Max runners you want for race to be qualified.
Bet Type – select the bet type you want to bet – Back, Lay or Dutch.
Keep In play button will ensure that bet is kept during in play if it is not matched before the jump.
Target profit per bet is the amount you are expected to win from each bet.
Stop@profit is the amount you want to win from Stop at winner cycles before the bot is stopped.
If continue button is ticked, it will start the next cycle.
When you select dutch bet type, you can only fill the information below to confirm which horses you want to bet on.
Say first two favorites being dutch in above example. Finally, when you place the programmed bet, you will get the following message as the confirmation that your bet has been scheduled.
And you can see all scheduled programmed bets in the scheduled bets section.
Please remember odds and stake will be decided when the actual bets will be placed as per the settings provided .
Once the programmed bet is placed, you can select any other market and place any other programmed bet. The programmed bet will remember what different parameters you have asked for when the real execution happens.
Isn’t this amazing ?
Bot will work as per your instructions when you are miles away from pc , enjoying time with family or friends.
Any unmatched bets will continue to be in unmatched bet section till the time it gets matched.
There is one box which you will see at the middle center of the interface.
It will show at what time you pressed the clear button last time. In the picture above, it tells me that the clear button was executed on 28th May morning.
Why is this important?
This feature will help in understanding at what time did you use the clear button last time. The bot will continue to show profit /loss from that time onwards.
As soon as you press the clear button, the bot will erase all staking sequence, profit /loss etc. and will start fresh.
In Current bets, you can see all the current bets which are not settled on Betfair yet.
In Cancelled bet, you will see all the bets which could not get placed due to some reason and cancelled by the Betfair. You will rarely find bets in this box, as 99% of the times all qualified bets should get placed by the bot.
In the results tab, you can see the consolidated results from all active tabs be it any function –Back, lay or Dutch back. You can see below, how the consolidated results will look like.
Let’s understand the sequencing of the tabs.
There is total number of 10 tabs which you can enable with the help of enable button.
Keep the tab checked to ensure bets can get locked under that specific tab else it will always be free tab. Unticked tab will not be used for betting.
Currently all markets are closed in this tab but whenever any market ( race) is open in any tab, it will be highlighted dark green in color. So, all active tabs will be dark a green in color and it means that this tab can’t be used for further betting unless this bet is settled.
Transfer Button
Now, if you are losing money on one tab, your next stake will increase accordingly for the upcoming bet. But if you have another tab where you have made some decent profit and you want to transfer some bit of that profit to the losing tab, you can do that with the help of transfer button.
You can ONLY transfer from profitable tab to losing tab. You can transfer from back to lay or lay to back side but it has to be only from profitable tab to losing tab.
Obviously, one has to be rich in order to help the poor…same logic applies when we transfer the money.
It is very important to understand the sequencing feature of the bot. As you know, we have 10 tabs in the bot and it can handle up to ten selections at the same time.
So, if at any given point in time, all tabs are occupied, it will not take any new bet unless any tab is free.
Also, it will always prioritize the tab which comes first. Say, we have two tabs free tab 1 and Tab 3 for the next match, and then it will take tab 1 for the next match.
In this version, we have provided option for “Mexican wave”. So, it means that all the enabled tabs will be used at least once from 1 to 10 (if all 10 tabs are enabled) before they gets started again for next round of bets.
Hence, Mexican wave will ensure all tabs are getting the matches in equal ratio. Please keep it checked if you want equal distribution of selections across tabs.
If you really want to clear all the previous results, please close the bot and delete the below excel file “All_results” in the installation folder and open the SAW New Gen bot again.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Profit Sports Betting\SAW Deluxe NEW GEN Horses
Please don’t touch any other file in the installation folder. Similarly, you can remove tab excels also, if you want to get rid of results in each tab.

FAQs
Can I use different Lay or different Back settings ?
Yes, you can use programmed betting tab, 3 Backs , 2 Lays , 1 Dutch strategy in one License.
I can’t see prices moving on the main interface?
Yes, prices will not move on the main interface. We don’t want to waste API calls for price movement. Bot does all work in the background.
One of my bet stuck in one tab what to do?
Please check on Betfair. It can be stuck because Betfair has not settled the market yet for some reason or your bot went office in between and Betfair settled the market during that time.
Please remember as long as the bet will remain stuck in any tab, that tab will be occupied and won’t get new bets.
In Betfair case, you should wait for market to be settled by Betfair. It happens rare as generally 99% of the times Betfair settles the market as soon as match is over. And in 2nd case, if Betfair has already settled the market and you have still bet open, please double click on the bet in current tabs and cancel the same. It will not be accounted in SAW Deluxe results.
I am confused on clear button?
It will settle your tab to back to zero. All sequencing and staking will start fresh. We have clear button for each tab and for bot overall. Please read the manual to understand the feature in detail.
Do you yourself use your bot?
Of course, we run our bots 100% on VPS like our other SAW bots. VPS is virtual private server.
Where can I see what the bot is doing second by second?
You can see in the log file in this folder. Log file is generated on daily basis. C:\Program Files (x86)\Profit Sports Betting\SAW New Gen\log_files
How can I export my results into excel?
Use export button and it will download all results into csv format.
Does it generate daily profit?
However, no one can guarantee success in betting world but we are almost there in making daily profit. All depends on settings. We always recommend you settings which we are using and profitable for us on daily basis.
How will I receive updates?
Whenever we do any update in the product, it will be done at the server end and you will be prompted to download the new exe. Please install it and use it with old key. No need to apply for the new key as long as your subscription is valid on that pc /deskop. Key is locked to that pc.
Can I send suggestions what I want in future version?
Yes, we always listen to our client feedback.
Please send it across to Michael
